In addition to serving on the MPOA and other committees, residence give their time and efforts to make Merrymount a better community.

No Wake Zone Approved for Hawtree Creek
Thanks to the year long relentless efforts of Bo Jamison and his committee for getting the no wake zone approved for the narrow portion of Hawtree Creek between Merrymount and Peete River Farm communities.

The no wake zone begins at the mouth of Hawtree Creek and is marked with buoys 1 and 2. Midway into Hawtree Creek is the third buoy, and at the end of the no wake zone, it is marked with buoys 4 and 5. The no wake zone should be a reminder to boaters to slow down through this area.

Pavilion
The Pavilion was built by our residence, and continuing in that tradition we would like to thank all the residence that have helped to make the pavilion area more beautiful.

The installed electric and water at the Pavilion have passed all required inspections. Nice work to the team ( Bill McCall, Richie Heycock, Mike Skidmore, Lisa Handy, Judy Stefko, George Epps, Brian McHenry and others) who worked so hard in bringing this to fruition. Thanks also to Ron Whitt who was a key player in getting the electric installed. Thanks also to Scott Murray and John Guins who were key players in the planning & excavation portion of the pavilion project.

Thanks to Bill McCall for power washing the pavilion and coordinating the staining. Thanks to Geoff Lloyd for recommending the concrete contractor. James and Lisa Handy for coordinating and building the fire pit.  Thanks to all the residence that have cleaned and prepared the pavilion for events such as the fall festival, Halloween party, and other gatherings.

Front Entrance

Thanks to Richie Heycock for maintaining the irrigation and electrical systems.

Thanks to the entire Dice Family, Lisa and James Handy, Paige and Jaxson Holland, and Deb Steimers for all their efforts in replacing the dead and dying plants at the front entrance.
